AHBA WELCOMES NEW CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

ANCHORAGE – Members of the Anchorage Home Builders Association (AHBA) are thrilled to welcome back Nikki Giordano as the association’s new chief executive officer. Giordano begins her new role on March 1, 2021.

Giordano spent more than a decade at AHBA, serving as AHBA’s executive director. She most recently worked as the executive director at the Home Builders Association of Northern Colorado (NoCo HBA). While at NoCo HBA, she made a big impact, increasing membership, winning Best Parade of Homes in 2019, rebranding the association with a new website, and introducing the Builders Regulatory Council. In 2020, Giordano was the Colorado Association of Home Builders (CAHB) Executive Officer Council Chair and currently sits on the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Executive Officer Board of Directors as a Regional Director.

“I’m looking forward to my return to AHBA,” Giordano said. “One of my many goals is to continue our advocacy efforts for safe and attainable housing. Making an impact in my community is important to me, and that begins with believing in the work we do. Working in Northern Colorado afforded me the opportunity to lead an association in a different housing market. I’m thankful for the knowledge I’ve gained and am excited to bring some fresh new ideas to AHBA.”

“The team at AHBA feels so lucky to have Giordano return,” said Eric Visser, AHBA’s president and founder of Visser Construction. “Previously, she grew our membership and expanded our outreach. We look forward to Giordano’s vision for the future.”

“Giordano is an outstanding leader,” said Jason Dial, AHBA’s vice president and vice president of Rain Proof Roofing. “She’s dedicated to advancing building at a statewide level. She’s proven her abilities to successfully benefit members, execute impactful events and advocate for our industry. Welcome back, Nikki!”
