Lisa Huffman is a lifelong Alaskan, business leader and former educator with more than three decades of leadership experience in business operations, governance, education and community engagement. She joined the Anchorage Home Builders Association (AHBA) as CEO in 2026 with a strong commitment to supporting Alaska’s building industry, strengthening member engagement, advancing workforce development and helping address Alaska’s housing challenges through collaboration and advocacy.
Lisa is passionate about strengthening partnerships between industry, government, education and the community to increase housing opportunities, support workforce development and promote a strong and sustainable building industry in Alaska.
Born and raised in Alaska, Lisa is an enrolled member of the Kenaitze Indian Tribe and a shareholder of Cook Inlet Region, Inc. (CIRI), where she currently serves on the Board of Directors. She and her husband, James, have deep roots in Anchorage and enjoy spending time with their family, supporting community initiatives and exploring Alaska.

Shannon Gallagher

Shannon Gallagher is a former educator with a passion for making an impact on her community. She joined AHBA in 2024 as a project specialist. Shannon has managed the Home and Garden Show, the Shoebox Program. She connected AHBA members with high school students through the AHBA-ASD Workforce Development Initiative, which led to AHBA’s first summer internship program.
Shannon is a lifelong Alaska native who cares about her neighbors and believes that stronger communities create a better Alaska. Originally from Sand Point, Alaska and a member of the Qagan Tayagungin Tribe, Shannon has called Anchorage home since 1998. Shannon loves exploring her home state, navigating the adventures of being a mom to a teenage son and a good cup of coffee.
