Ferguson Inspiration You Can Feel

The internet has become a go-to source for inspiration and information for home design. Social media is filled with articles about tips and trends, and there’s a never-ending supply of squares to scroll through on Pinterest. Sure, there’s a lot to see on your touch-screen but there’s nothing like an in-person experience to spark the feeling of home.

"Our Ferguson showroom is a very inviting atmosphere for inspiration,” said Dylan Lish, area manager for Ferguson’s Alaska locations. “We invite everyone to come in, take a look around and see what might inspire you."

Ferguson is the largest wholesale plumbing company in the country. They carry everything from plumbing to appliances, lighting and more. Ferguson has been in Alaska for years; it was previously Familian Northwest and Alaska Pipe & Supply.

The company’s showroom, located in South Anchorage, has three new kitchens on display. “Our showroom is a one-stop shop for designers, remodelers, homeowners and homebuilders,” said Lish. “We are here to offer you a personalized experienced.”

The showroom’s Viking Kitchen is a live kitchen, featuring top-of-the-line appliances and finishes. You can listen to the whisper-quiet dishwasher while it works or explore the double convection oven while it’s on. “We want people to see, touch and feel what they will experience in their homes,” said Lish. “Even if you’re early in the process, our showroom gives you a starting point to drive design ideas.”

Technology is what’s trending in appliances and Ferguson carries several with Wi-Fi capabilities and that are compatible with smartphones. And while the company carries plenty of custom, elegant options, it also has more basic models. “We have a wide array of products,” said Lish. “We want to take some of the stress off people’s shoulders. We can help you understand how the process works and find something that fits your lifestyle.”

Ferguson exists to connect its customers with the best products for their families. “For anyone that’s building a home or going through a remodel, especially for the first time, it’s a very intimidating process,” said Lish. “But that’s why we’re here, we’re here to help.”

Technology makes it easy to shop from home, but easy isn’t inspiring. When you’re shopping for your home you need to experience style

in person. Next time you’re in the market to build or renovate, find your inspiration at a local showroom. Many of AHBA’s members have showrooms filled with samples to help you design your space. After visiting with a member of AHBA, you can expect to leave with fewer questions and more ideas.
