"Membership Is Building" Membership Drive
May is National Membership Month and the AHBA is participating by having a month-long membership drive. During the entire month, members earn double Spike credits for recruiting new members. Prizes will be awarded to every person who participates! Complete the Recruitment Log to track your efforts, submit it to the AHBA by the end of the month, and earn a $10 coffee card! If your efforts result in new members for the Association, you will receive other great prizes. The grand prize is a $500 Alaska Airline gift certificate!

Create a Community Contest
The AHBA Create a Community Contest is offered every February for Anchorage fifth and sixth grade students. The contest challenges children to create their ideal community in any media of their choosing, and write an essay of explanation. Projects are put on public display and are later judged by industry professionals.

Home & Remodeling Show
The AHBA Home & Remodeling Show
is put on every spring by the Anchorage Home Builders Association. Over 175 companies from around Alaska showcase their products and services. The 2009 Show will be held Friday-Sunday, March 27-29.
Spring Preview of Homes
The AHBA Spring Preview of Homes is held during the same weekend as the Home & Remodeling Show. Anchorage/Eagle River homes in various stages of construction are showcased and open for free viewing. The 2008 Preview was held March 15 and 16.
Golf Tournament
The AHBA Golf Tournament is an annual event for its members. The 2008 tournament will be held on Wednesday, July 16 at the Moose Run Golf Course. Download the application below.
Parade of Homes
The AHBA Parade of Homes is an annual event held during one weekend in August. The 2008 Parade will be Friday-Monday, August 9-11. New homes constructed by the industry's top builders are showcased and open for free viewing. The public is invited to
voice their opinion by voting online for the KeyBank People’s Choice award for best new home. All homes are judged by a panel of industry professionals and awards are given later that month at the Gold Hammer Awards Banquet. This year's event will be held on Friday, August 22 at the Downtown Marriott.
Christmas Banquet & Board of Directors Induction Ceremony
The Christmas Banquet is an annual event for AHBA members to gather and celebrate the holiday. The night is also a ceremony to honor the outgoing Board of Directors and install new directors for the following year. The 2008 Banquet will be held on
Friday, December 19 at the Downtown Marriott. This year's theme is "Winter Wonderland" and it will be a semi-formal event.
